Our Mission

People who volunteer at the recycling center or soup kitchen can come to feel part of something larger. Such a sense of belonging calls on a different part of a self than the market calls on. The market calls on our sense of self-interest. It focuses us on what we get.

What We Say

  • TPI Composites began working with the OEHCRI more than 5 years ago. Since then, we have continued to depend on the Center as a qualified and reliable provider of free audiograms for our employees.

  • Providence Water Supply Board has been using the services of OEHCRI for many years. We send our employees there who require medical clearance to use a respirator to perform their job duties. We also have employees receive their Hepatitis B shots at the center, or OEHCRI will come to the workplace. They are very accommodating, friendly and easy to work with.

  • The Occupational and Environmental Health Center of Rhode Island has improved the health of many of our union members and also reduced injuries and illnesses. They've been an invaluable organization to the Building Trades.
